I remember making video projects for school as early as 10th grade. Whenever a teacher would allow us to do an individual or group presentation, I always wanted to make it some kind of video to show the class. I don’t know if it was because I used to have a deep fear of public speaking, or if it was the universes way of foreshadowing my career path.
After attending community college for two years, I transferred to Michigan State University to pursue a degree in media production. After many student shoots and projects, and holding internships for MSU Communications and Brand Strategy and HOMTV, my first major life goal was completed in Spring 2014 when I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts.
Fast forward through two years of bartending and freelance PAing, I started full time at DP+ (formerly Duffey Petrosky) in January 2016 as a Production Coordinator. I learned the ins and outs of agency processes from a broadcast and content standpoint. I worked alongside account teams and producers to help ensure the smoothest delivery of the best possible work.
It wasn’t long until I was covering radio records, helping with pre-pro books, and reading deeply into production emails that I was copied on only for scheduling and delivery purposes. I fell in love with the idea of overseeing a production myself, and started taking on more and more producer side work as the months went by.
In March 2017 I was promoted to Associate Producer. I lead production on several video and TV projects, as well as radio campaigns for clients such as Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, JACK Entertainment, Detroit PAL, V1 Sports, CU Solutions Group, Ascension Health, Subway, The Detroit Institute of Arts, and Direct Financial.
In 2018 I produced a very large and successful campaign for McLaren Health, and was promoted to Producer in 2019.
ENOUGH ABOUT THE WORK STUFF!
In my free time I like to read, binge Netflix, work out, hang out with my cat Binx, travel, and yeah, I still bartend (well, technically beer-tend at a microbrewery).
